Legal Information Page
Last updated: 4 November 2026
This page sets out the legal information that applies to this website and to the organisation that publishes it. It is written for a United Kingdom audience and is intended to satisfy the disclosure requirements that apply to commercial websites operated by UK-registered companies, including the Companies Act 2006, the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business (Names and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2015, the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and the Provision of Services Regulations 2009. It also explains how this site sits within consumer law, data protection law, electronic communications law and intellectual property law. Please read it together with the other policies named in section 9 below. This is a legal notice, not promotional material, and it forms part of the terms on which you may use the site.
1. Identity of the website operator and its role
This website is operated and published by buzzworly. buzzworly is the public-facing identity under which the site is made available and is the name that appears on the site, in its metadata and in correspondence sent from the site. The registered legal entity that operates the site, holds the domain name, contracts with suppliers and is responsible for the editorial content published here is Adlib Audio Limited, a private company limited by shares incorporated in England and Wales.
In legal terms, the operator acts in three distinct roles. First, it is the publisher of the editorial and technical information made available on this site, and it is responsible for that content. Second, it is the provider of an information society service within the meaning of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002. Third, it is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 in respect of any personal data collected through the site, including data submitted through the enquiry form on the Contacts page.
This site is an informative resource dedicated to audiovisual production excellence. Its subject matter includes broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and the streamlined workflows used by television networks and live event productions. The operator does not use this site to provide regulated financial, legal, medical or safety-critical advice, and no professional advisory relationship is created by your use of it.
2. Legal form, registration details and tax identifiers
Adlib Audio Limited is a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales under the Companies Act 2006. The following identifiers are the ones that the company is required to disclose, and that it does disclose, in its business correspondence and on its website:
- Company name: Adlib Audio Limited
- Company registration number: 03555097
- Place of registration: England and Wales
- Registered office address: 1 Fairview Cottages, Beehive Road, Binfield, RG12 8TS, United Kingdom
- VAT registration number: 477222243
The company number is issued by Companies House, the registrar of companies for England and Wales, and it uniquely identifies the entity. The VAT registration number is issued by HM Revenue & Customs under the Value Added Tax Act 1994; it appears on invoices and credit notes issued by the company and can be verified through HMRC's published validation service.
Company law requires the entity to display its registered name, its place of registration, its registered number, its registered office address and, where it chooses to state a VAT number, the VAT number itself. These disclosures must appear on the website in a place where they are easily, directly and permanently accessible. This page is provided for that purpose.
Responsibility for the conduct of the company rests with its board of directors, who are the responsible representatives for the purposes of UK company law. Their details, together with the company's filed accounts, confirmation statements and other statutory filings, are a matter of public record at Companies House. The company does not carry on any activity that requires authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority, and it is not a regulated professional body. Where music, sound recordings or audiovisual works are used in productions, the necessary public performance, synchronisation and reproduction licences are obtained from the relevant collective management organisations and rights holders, including PPL and PRS for Music.
3. Registered office and how to contact us
The registered office of the operating company, which is the address for the service of legal documents and formal notices, is 1 Fairview Cottages, Beehive Road, Binfield, RG12 8TS, United Kingdom. Correspondence sent to that address is treated as received on the next working day after delivery.
For ordinary enquiries about this website, its content or the services described on it, you can reach us by email at info@dramabydesign.com or by telephone on +44 (0)1344 649400. You may also use the enquiry form on the Contacts page of this site. We aim to acknowledge enquiries within two working days and to provide a substantive reply within ten working days, although response times may be longer during holiday periods or where a matter requires internal review.
Please do not send confidential, sensitive or time-critical material through the website enquiry form. If you need to serve a legal notice, make a formal complaint, or exercise a data protection right, please do so in writing to the registered office address shown above and mark your correspondence clearly so that it can be routed to the correct team.
4. Purpose, scope and intended audience of this website
This site exists to share practical, technical and editorial information about audiovisual production. It covers subjects such as broadcast studio design and infrastructure, camera control and robotic camera systems, professional lighting design and control protocols, sound engineering practice, signal flow and network architectures, and the production workflows that television networks, venues and live event teams rely on.
The intended audience is made up of professionals, technicians, students and informed enthusiasts who are already familiar with, or who are actively learning about, production technology. Content is written on the assumption that readers have a working understanding of the subject matter. It is not written for children, and it is not intended to be the only source used when specifying, purchasing, installing or operating equipment that may affect safety, broadcast compliance or public events.
The site is available to visitors in the United Kingdom and internationally. Some references, terminology, standards and legal notes reflect UK practice; readers elsewhere should satisfy themselves that local rules, voltages, licensing requirements and technical standards are observed. Nothing on this site is a quotation, an offer capable of acceptance, or a contractual commitment, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
5. Access to the website and acceptable use
You may access and browse this site free of charge. Access is provided on an "as available" basis, and we reserve the right to change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the site, temporarily or permanently, without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, timely or error-free.
When using this site you agree not to:
- use the site for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose, or in breach of any applicable regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, its databases or any connected system, or to circumvent security or authentication measures;
- introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, denial-of-service code or any other harmful material;
- use automated systems to harvest, scrape, crawl or systematically extract content or data, except in accordance with a published robots policy or with our prior written permission;
- use the site to transmit unsolicited commercial communications, chain messages or bulk enquiries;
- post, submit or transmit material that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harassing, infringing or otherwise unlawful;
- copy, republish or commercially exploit substantial parts of the site, or present our content as your own;
- interfere with the proper working of the site or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
If you breach these rules we may take reasonable steps in response, including restricting your access, blocking offending traffic and, where appropriate, reporting the matter to law enforcement or to a competent regulator. We may also seek reimbursement of reasonable costs where a breach causes us measurable loss.
6. Ownership and permitted use of content, trade marks and other intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in this website and in the material published on it — including text, editorial structure, diagrams, illustrations, photography, audio and video material, layout, source code and the selection and arrangement of content — are owned by the operator or licensed to it by third parties. Those rights are protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, by trade mark law and by international conventions. All rights not expressly granted on this page are reserved.
You may view, print and download extracts of the site for your own personal, non-commercial reference, or for internal evaluation within your own organisation, provided that you do not remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice, that you do not modify the material, and that any quotation is short, accurate and accompanied by a clear acknowledgement of this site as the source. Systematic or repeated copying, republication, adaptation, translation, distribution, sale, licensing, framing, mirroring or commercial exploitation of the content is not permitted without our prior written consent.
Text and data mining of this site, including for the training or fine-tuning of machine learning models, is not permitted without prior written consent. Automated retrieval that ignores these terms may be treated as an infringement and may result in technical measures being applied.
The names buzzworly and Adlib Audio Limited, together with associated logos, domain names and get-up, are trade marks of the operator or its group, whether registered or unregistered. You may refer to them descriptively and truthfully, but you may not use them in a way that suggests sponsorship, approval, partnership or endorsement where none exists. Product names, manufacturer names and standard designations mentioned on this site are the trade marks of their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only.
If you believe that material published on this site infringes your copyright, trade mark or other rights, please write to us at the registered office address with full details of the work concerned, the location of the material on the site, evidence of your rights and your contact details. We will investigate promptly and will remove or amend material where that is appropriate.
7. Accuracy, availability and proportionate limitations of liability
We take reasonable care to ensure that the information published on this site is accurate and up to date when it is first published. However, production technology changes quickly, manufacturer documentation is revised without notice, and the correct approach in any given venue or project depends on facts that we cannot know. The site is therefore provided for general information only. Technical specifications, prices, availability, compatibility statements and regulatory requirements should always be verified with the manufacturer, supplier or an appropriately qualified professional before you rely on them.
We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, accurate or suitable for any particular purpose, and we exclude all warranties and representations to the fullest extent permitted by law. We also do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site; maintenance, security patching and factors outside our control may cause downtime or loss of access.
Nothing in this legal notice limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this site. Where liability nevertheless arises, it is limited to the direct loss that was reasonably foreseeable at the time you used the site.
Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you benefit from mandatory protections that cannot be excluded by contract, and paragraphs above should be read subject to those protections.
8. External links and third-party content
From time to time this site may refer to, or link to, websites, publications, standards bodies, manufacturers or services operated by third parties. Those references are provided for convenience and context only. They do not amount to an endorsement of the third party, of its products, or of any statement it makes, and they do not imply any partnership or affiliation.
We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy, privacy practices or compliance with the law. If you follow a reference to an external resource, you do so at your own risk and you should review that site's own terms and privacy notices. Any contract you enter into with a third party is between you and that third party, on their terms.
You are welcome to link to the home page of this site for reference purposes, provided the link is honest and does not suggest any form of endorsement, and provided you do not frame or replicate our content. We reserve the right to require the removal of any link at our discretion.
9. Privacy, cookies, terms of use and other policies
This legal notice is only one of several documents that govern the site. The following policies are published on this website and apply alongside it. They are identified here in plain text so that you can locate them in the navigation, the footer or the policy area of the site:
- Privacy Policy — explains who the data controller is, what personal data is collected, why it is collected, the lawful bases for processing, how long it is kept, who it may be shared with, and the rights available to you under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. That policy also explains how to make a subject access request or other rights request, how to withdraw consent, and how to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
- Cookie Policy — explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the site, their purposes, their duration, and how consent is obtained and withdrawn. The site displays a cookie banner on first visit, and non-essential cookies are only set once consent has been given, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.
- Terms and Conditions — sets out the contractual terms that apply to any goods or services supplied by the operator, including quotations, orders, lead times, delivery, installation, hire, title and risk, and payment terms.
- Payment and Refund Policy — explains accepted payment methods, invoicing, deposits, cancellation charges, and the circumstances in which refunds, credits or replacements are offered, always subject to your statutory rights.
- Acceptable Use Policy — expands on the conduct rules summarised in section 5 of this notice.
- Accessibility Statement — records the accessibility standard the site aims to meet, known limitations, and how to report a barrier so that a reasonable adjustment can be arranged.
Where there is a conflict between this legal notice and a more specific policy on a particular subject, the more specific policy prevails in relation to that subject.
10. Consumer rights, complaints and dispute resolution
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have statutory rights that cannot be excluded. Goods and services supplied by the operator must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Where a contract is concluded at a distance, you may also have a right to cancel within fourteen days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. That right does not apply to certain categories, including bespoke or made-to-measure items, goods that have been unsealed, and digital content that has already been supplied with your express consent. Full details are set out in the Payment and Refund Policy.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first using the details in section 3. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and provide a written response. Most concerns can be resolved directly. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may be entitled to refer the matter to a certified alternative dispute resolution provider. The operator is not currently obliged to participate in alternative dispute resolution and does not participate in a certified ADR scheme for consumer disputes, but it will always consider a reasonable request to do so, and it will provide the name of at least one certified provider on request so that you can decide whether to use their services. Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing proceedings before a court or, where available, using a small claims procedure.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
This legal notice, the use of this website and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute.
If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live, and nothing in this notice removes that right. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights conferred by the law of your home jurisdiction that cannot be waived by agreement.
If any provision of this legal notice is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. A failure or delay in enforcing any provision is not a waiver of that provision or of any other right.
12. Changes to this legal notice and how to stay informed
We review this page regularly and may amend it at any time to reflect changes in the law, in our organisation, in the services described on the site or in the way the site is operated. When we make changes we will update the "last updated" date shown at the top of this page. If a change is significant — for example, where it affects the identity of the operator, the applicable law, or the way personal data is handled — we will take reasonable steps to draw it to your attention, such as displaying a notice on the site.
Continued use of the site after an update takes effect means that you accept the revised notice. If you do not agree with a change, you should stop using the site. The version of this notice that applied when you used the site is the version that governs that use.
13. Accessibility, language and copies of this notice
This notice is published in English, which is the operating language of the site. We aim to present legal and policy information in clear, plain language, using structured headings so that it can be navigated with a keyboard and read with assistive technology. If you need this information in an alternative format, such as larger text or a printed copy, please contact us using the details in section 3 and we will do our best to help.
If any part of this page is unclear, or if you would like further information about the operator, its registrations or the policies that apply to the site, please get in touch before relying on your own interpretation of the text.
